Three students selected to present their projects at IEEE ISSE 2026 in Dubrovnik, Croatia

Three of our students were selected to present their project results at the 2026 IEEE International Symposium on Systems Engineering (IEEE ISSE 2026) in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Congratulations to our students and their co-authors!

The accepted contributions were:
  • Nada Tamer Abdellatif, with co-authors Hrvoje Novak and Mario Vasak - A Conditional Evaluation of Physics-Informed and Data-Driven Models for Short-Term Photovoltaic Power Forecasting
  • Maryam Adib, with co-author Mario Vasak - Optimal Sizing and Machine Learning-Based Real-Time Control of a Renewable Hydrogen Hub
  • Jalil Akbarzai, with co-author Hrvoje Novak - Machine Learning-Based Correction of Weather Forecasts for Photovoltaic Applications with Conformal Uncertainty Quantification
Beyond presenting their work, the conference offered a valuable opportunity to connect with researchers and students from other universities, exchange ideas, and learn about the diverse range of projects being developed across the systems engineering community.

Congratulations once more to Nada, Maryam, and Jalil, and thanks to everyone who contributed to this successful experience.
